San Francisco artist Stephanie Peek's paintings have been exhibited in both national and international galleries and museums. In San Francisco, California, Peek's paintings have been exhibited at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists’ Gallery and at Triangle Gallery, Seager Gray Gallery in Mill Valley, and in Santa Monica, California at Lora Schlesinger Gallery. Her paintings have been shown at Friesen Gallery in Sun Valley, Idaho and Seattle, Washington, as well as the Grey Gallery of New York University, New York City and Argazzi Art in Lakeville, CT. Peek has taught painting at the San Francisco Art Institute, Dominican University in San Rafael, Califirnia, and other California universities.
There have been exhibitions of Peek's paintings and artists’ books at the University of California, Berkeley, University of California, San Diego, and the Museo Italo-Americano in San Francisco, at the Oakland Museum of California, and the Contemporary Museum of Art in Prato, Italy. Peek's artist’s books have been collected by the Library of Congress of the United States, Harvard and Stanford Universities, the University of California Berkeley as well as private collectors nationally and internationally.
Peek graduated with an MFA in painting from the University of California, Berkeley and BA in Art History from Wellesley College, Boston. Awards and honors include Visiting Artist at the American Academy in Rome, Borso di Studio in Florence, Italy, J. Ruth Kelsey Travel Grant, Susan B. Irwin Scholarship in the Visual Arts, Virginia McPheter-Stoltz Fellowship and two recent nominations for the SECA award at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art
