Born and raised in beautiful Brasil, Poliana was exposed to a full spectrum of life, from the hustle and bustle of big city Sao Paulo to the slow and sleepy beach towns nestled in the Atlantic Forest.
It is no wonder she developed a passion for capturing moments and she brings the energy of the Brazilian people to her photographs. After finishing at University with a degree in Journalism she worked as an award winning photojournalist for several newspapers in Sao Paulo state, Brasil, and also hosted a weekly radio show.
In 2004 she packed her bags and headed to the states looking to take advantage of the opportunities that the US offers.
Now living here for a few years she is continually inspired by the people and places that are now part of her life.
Currently living in New Jersey, Poliana`s work has been shown in the gallery at the Salmagundi Club in New York City for the past three years and she has also won several awards including a First Place at St Catherines Photography and Art Exhibition with her photo "Milla", "Fallen Comrades" and "The Standoff".
