My name is Robert Sofo and i live in Accra, Ghana.I studied art at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. I do pencil portraiture, i play the classical guitar and love to paint in abstract with acrylic paints.

My paintings are concentrated on abstract concepts of form and colour. I build my subjects by extracting essential elements such as gestural line, shape, value and rhythmic line for expression. The technique can be considered as ‘’CUTOUT’’.


My Subjects are common people e.g. friends, family, hawkers etc., I find around me and what interests me most is the drama that surrounds them be it despondency, sorrow, fear, loneliness etc.

I currently work at the US Embassy, Accra and in the GSO/Warehouse section.
