I'm Mars, an artist currently living and working in Pennsylvania.
My early years were spent drawing on walls, sticking things together in ways I found aesthetically pleasing and plotting to wake up before my brother on Saturday mornings, so I could spend them with Bob Ross.
When it became apparent that the fashion industry wasn't thinking about me, specifically, I taught myself to sew on my mother's machine - at 12, without my mother's knowledge or consent. As a young adult, I spent nearly a decade working in a costume shop, where I did commissioned work and produced new inventory, while pursuing a degree in costume and fashion design. Over the years, I've sewn industrially, making skydiving harnesses, scuba vests and repairing fire fighters' gear.
I later trained to be a tattoo artist, which led to owning my own tattoo studio outside of Tampa.
These days, I can usually be found in rural Pennsylvania, drawing on walls, sticking things together in ways I finds aesthetically pleasing. And painting happy trees.
