Romi Sloboda has exhibited her work in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States and abroad. Her work has been shown internationally at the “Paper Road International Exhibition” in Copenhagen, Denmark; the “1999 Pacific Rim International Print Biennial Print Exhibition” in Hilo, Hawaii; and the “International Print Triennial Cracow 2000” in Cracow, Poland. She has also had shows at the State Museum of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts in Wilmington, Delaware; the Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California; as well as at Rodger LaPelle Galleries in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Chiaroscuro Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Sloboda has been awarded grants by the Leeway Foundation in Philadelphia, honored by the St. Louis chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and recognized by both the St. Louis Artists’ Guild and St. Louis Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for the Arts. She was also the recipient of a residency fellowship from the Cité International des Arts Fondation in Paris, France.

Romi Sloboda was born in the United States and spent her childhood living in both the United States and her mother's native city, Seoul, Korea. She studied printmaking at the School of Fine Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and at the Santa Reparata Graphic Arts Centre in Florence, Italy. After living in Paris during a residency fellowship at the Cité International des Arts Fondation, she returned to the United States and moved with her husband, artist Chip Dunahugh, to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2005, she and her husband moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where they currently live and work at Red Press Studios.
