Woelfer has traveled extensively and recorded images and experiences in a variety of ways.
Based in DC, though living and working, as well, in Berlin since 2000, Woelfer continues to demonstrate a unique quality which challenges the viewer to think.
The art thematically concerns natural and human forces upon our perception of existence. Colors excite the human brain and artistic technique move the viewer through two dimensions into a third, possibly fourth. Landscapes describe natural forces with which man interacts. Architecture and technology describe aspects of how man interacts and attempts to control his fate. Humor, light and dark, is always present, quietly implying the fifth, or more, dimension(s).
