Kahne Smith is an artist working in pastel and oil. Formal education includes coursework at the Glassell School of art in Houston, Tx. and the Woodstock School of art.
PERSONAL STATEMENT:
"What I strive for in painting, is comparable to a poet arranging words. I feel my role is not to mirror the landscape as it exists, but rather to interpret the elements of light and shadow. I hope my work provides a new perspective on the beauty of our land.”
