Born in Boston, MA on October 8th 1969. Grew up in Rockport, MA, a small coastal town outside of Boston. Went to Montserrat College of Art in Beverly, MA from 1988 to 1993; where I received my BFA in painting in 1993. Worked for a ceramic design company in Salem, MA from 1993 to 1998 while maintaining an artist's studio in Salem, MA. Curated and organized emerging artists exhibitions in Salem, MA during this time as well as some youth outreach art programming. Moved to Ithaca, NY in 1998. Began working for the Arnot Art Museum in Elmira, NY in 1998 as Curatorial Assistant and Registrar. Worked for the Arnot Art Museum from 1998m to 2003 managing small local exhibitions to large nationally recognized traveling exhibits. In 1999 traveled to Spain, Portugal, France, and Italy for over three weeks on a European vacation/museum tour. Was married to Rachel philipson in 2000 and purchased a home in Ithaca, NY with an art studio in it. In 2003 began working for the Johnson Art Museum at Cornell University as a Curatorial Assistant. Was at that position from 2003 to 2004, then started concentrating on my artwork more intently. I now work for an art books company and paint at night. Over the last few years I have been chosen to exhibit my work in museums such as the Everson Museum in Syracuse, NY and the Memorial art Gallery in Rochester, NY while looking for gallery representation at a New York City gallery.
