I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree for painting from Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio in 1998. I moved to Richmond, Virginia and earned my Masters of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2000. Upon completion of my degree I attended a residency at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Skowhegan, Maine after which I moved to Brooklyn, New York.
In 2000 I was included in "Selections 2000" at the Bronx River Art Center and was soon thereafter included in the Drawing Center's Viewing Program.
In 2001 I was chosen for the Skowhegan Alumni Exhibition at the Knoedler Gallery in New York City. In addition, I was the curator for an exhibition, "Passing Through: Eleven New York Artists", which travelled to Shaqab College of Design Arts in Doha, Qatar and Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. I lectured and taught workshops in conjunction with the exhibit.
From 2002 to 2003 I was included in several group shows: "Inaccurate Dreamers" at Westfield State College; "Night of a Thousand Drawings" at Artists Space in New York and "Paper Prayers" at Howard Yezerski Gallery in Boston.
In 2003 I was awarded a residency at The Millay Colony for the Arts in Austerlitz, New York.
In 2004 I had my first solo exhibition "Seeking Everyday" at Jeff Bailey Gallery in New York.
In 2004-2005 I was an artist in residence at Chashama in the Tribeca neighborhood of New York.
During this time I was included in the Scope Art Fair in Miami, Chashama at Creative Artists Network in Philadelphia, Stray Show in Chicago, Illinois, Impulse Art Fair in Miami, Florida and Art LA in Los Angeles.
In 2006 I had my second solo show "Dynamic Wonder" at Jeff Bailey Gallery in New York and was included in the group show "Transparent/Opaque" at Hunter College in New York.
From 2007 to 20011 I was included in several group exhibitions: “Scorcher” at Joyce Goldstein Gallery in Chatham, New York; “PULSE Art Fair” in New York; “The Annual Benefit” at the Lower East Side Printshop; “Wall-to-Wall” at Daniel Weinberg in Los Angeles; “Chain Letter” at Samson Projects in Boston and “Skowhegan at 92Y” in Tribeca. At the beginning of 2011 I exhibited my third solo show, "Now Here This" at Jeff Bailey Gallery in New York.
My work is included in the collections of the Aspen Contemporary Art Collection, Citigroup, Cleveland Clinic, Sandler Capital Management, The Sprint Collection, The Capital Group Companies and The Progressive Corporation as well as several private collections.
In 2011 I moved to West Orange, New Jersey where I live and work.
