Soraya Marcano was born in Puerto Rico and is now based in Madrid, Spain. She obtained an MFA from Pratt Institute, N.Y. Her mixed artwork has been exhibited internationally and it is represented in public and private collections. Marcano has participated in international artist-in-residence programs and she is the recipient of several recognitions and awards. Her work, which includes mixed media, writing, objects, and digital work, provides a layered exploration of mobility.
