From the beginning, I was destined to be Jersey Shore Girl! Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, on Water Street, I lived across the street from the Raritan Yacht Club. While I was raised in the suburbs of Chicago, I returned “home” as soon as I could to be closer to the Jersey Shore.
Now living on the Shark River in Monmouth County, I have come to appreciate the tidal flows and the variety of wildlife that pass through as the seasons change. Today, birds, aquatic life and my general love of the ocean are the primary sources of inspiration for much of my artistic endeavors.
I studied art in the atelier style at The Art Students League of New York where I was taught, critiqued, and encouraged by notable professionals including Will Barnet, Timothy J. Clark, Fredrick Wong, Nicky Orbach and Ellen Eagle. In a world full of exceptional artistic talent, I aim to encourage thought, inspire action and bring some smiles to those I am fortunate enough to meet through art.
In 2021, I founded Art for Sea, a coalition of artists who produce and sell art to support clean water initiatives.
