Tara grew up on Colorado’s rural plains. She received her B.F.A. in Metalsmithing from the University of Kansas. Her awards include the Community Arts Assistance Program grant (2009) and the William T. Colville Memorial Foundation’s Individual Artist grant (2007). Her work has been exhibited throughout southern California and the Midwest and is held in public and private collections, including the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library, Topeka, Kansas and the Hutton Foundation in Santa Barbara, California.
Tara’s current studio is located in Chicago, Illinois where she recently finished an artist residency program at the River East Art Center.
