Ted Glasoe’s photographic art is inspired by the power and beauty of Lake Michigan. His images are often large-scale and lit or mounted in interesting ways to create a dramatic effect in commercial and residential spaces.
A 23-year resident of Evanston, Illinois, Ted lives near Lee Street Beach, one of his favorite shooting points. “Lake Michigan inspires me every day,” he says. “I am driven to capture it at every opportunity because it’s always changing.”
Through his work, Ted aims to foster a new appreciation of this natural resource in our backyard — and a desire to help preserve and protect it. He donates a portion of his sales to the Alliance for the Great Lakes and Freshwater Future.
Ted’s work has been featured in several Chicagoland galleries and shows, and he has also exhibited internationally.
