Artist biography
Tina Mostov was born in Hanover, Pennsylvania and currently resides in Red Lion. She lives with her husband Steven, son Austin Lentz, and stepson Matthew Mostov. She is a licensed cosmetologist and works at Escape Salon & Day Spa. Her father was a carpenter with his own business, of which he worked at until he retired in 2014. She feels her creativity was inherited from him.
Her art began as a hobby; in December of 2014 she was able to begin taking group lessons. She has also taken part in learning workshops and is currently taking classes. After her oldest daughter was murdered in June of 2015, art became something else to focus attention on and has brought enjoyment beyond words to her.
Tina enjoys painting positive images whether trees and flowers, sunlight dancing across landscapes, buildings, animals and color, lots of vibrant colors. She enjoys painting with oil and acrylics and does some mixed media. She is not afraid to tackle something new.
Tina currently has an exhibition at the Art Association of York, PA, in the Sally Danyo gallery until mid February. Other works have been displayed at The Hive art space, The Rooted Collective, the Brethren Home in New Oxford, numerous offices throughout York, Martin library, Creative York West, and Ironic in downtown York. In 2017 "Cabin Run" is featured in a calendar for Print O Stat. She recently had a 2nd place win at the York Fair. Other pieces are displayed in private residential collections. Tina can also be commissioned for paintings of your choice! Her journey in the “art world” is just beginning, she is excited to see where it takes her!
