Tracy Faldyn's art demonstrates several perspectives on life and culture with a focus on the American Southwest, human emotion and iconic figures. Faldyn’s realistic, award-winning color drawings have been exhibited at performance spaces, cultural centers and museums in Europe. Her most noted work, “Siesta,” is an oil-based pencil drawing that depicts a cowboy resting at the end of a hard working day in the Southwest. Faldyn’s use of color and shadows creates a world where experiences are stopped, deepened, and the ordinary is transformed into an emotional and physical experience. “Siesta,” remains on permanent display at the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, Spain. Faldyn was born in Austin, Texas (10/1979), attended The University of Texas at Austin (BS in Advertising 2002), and is a member of the American Advertising Federation (AAF). Faldyn lives in San Francisco, CA and continues to create art.
