Wendy grew up exposed to the works of great masters in her home and at her mother’s gallery. She progressed to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, graduating with a BFA from the University of Arizona. In 2006, she moved to Montana with her husband, two daughters, and assorted dogs, Wendy has grown into a prolific oil painter. creating her contemporary interpretation of old pickup trucks, landscapes, farm and ranch animals, grain bins, barns, and other iconic rural Western scenery, but with a modern vibe.
Her work embodies the essence of the rural west: big blue skies, billowy clouds, towering trees, fields full of tall grasses, and the old trucks embedded in these landscapes. Her studio and gallery are located in the hundred-year-old Belgrade Bank building. She is happiest when she is working with the Montana sunshine coming through the big picture windows, beautiful music playing, and her colorful paintings surrounding her as they hang on the exposed brick walls...and, perhaps a dog or two by her side.
