Patrice Drago is a painter living in Annapolis, MD and exhibiting in Maryland, DC, Delaware, New York and Maine. An Artist-In-Residence at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, she is a prolific painter specializing in large abstract works, abstractions in nature, and both abstract and representational paintings of animals. Her goal in painting is to create universal connections with a sense of joy. She won her first art award at age nine, and has explored all types of media, working currently in acrylic and mixed media. A strong supporter of making art accessible to all, she serves on the boards of directors of several non-profit arts boards and advisory boards. Also an arts journalist, she blogs about the arts in the region for destination marketing organizations, and is a monthly columnist for the Capital Gazette newspaper.
