Jonathan Farber was born in 1982 in Los Angeles, California and moved to Reno, Nevada in 1993. From the year 2000 to 2011 Farber was working diligently on advancing his career in the arts, with the end goal of becoming an art professor. In that time he graduated from the University of Nevada with three majors (BA in sculpture, BA in Spanish, and a BFA in studio arts), and was attending Indiana/Purdue University in Indianapolis for a masters in public sculpture. Having only completed one semester, he was forced to drop out due to a family member’s illness. Farber returned home to Reno, and found his second calling as a registered nurse, earning first an associate’s, and then a bachelor’s in nursing. Currently he is working at a local hospital while making new artwork and preparing for upcoming exhibitions.
