Missy Stockton

Missy Stockton began her art education as a design student at Mount Vernon College, Washington D.C. She practiced commercial interior design for twenty years and did not begin working as an artist until 2008 when she took her first printmaking class at the Pacific Art League in Palo Alto, CA. She has continued to practice and refine her technique and has taken classes through MassArt at Bennington College, The Torpedo Factory Art League School, and Pyramid Atlantic. She works mainly with monotype, etching and lithography. Her printmaking processes are low in toxins and respect the environment. She is a member of the Lee Art Center’s printmaking studio in Arlington, Virginia and exhibits regularly at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA and her work can be found in their Bin Gallery and online at www.missyprint.com/
