Artist Statement
“My art reflects the world around me using images and shapes that resonate. I will often use complex textural background in images involving paint for a textural component. My goal is to continually evolve as an artist and provide the viewer with something special.”
Profile
My name is Pamela Beer. I was born in 1957, grew up in a Southern town where creativity was viewed as a tad suspicious. The locals favored the pursuit of ice tea, cow tipping, and a good barbecue over artsy things. I've raised a child, had an Information Technology career, and lived all over the world. My daughter is grown and married. I live in the Seattle area with my hubby and two adorable Havanese pups. For over 30 years I’d rush home from my day job to “play” all the while dreaming of the day when I could just make beautiful art. My dream came true when I was downsized in June 2013 from my corporate role. So I am now on my artist’s journey. I expect to discover some amusing and beautiful things. My goal is to encourage and inspire others to live life beautifully.
