Anne Albagli’s work explores the notion of personal paradise and quotidian beauty through interactive, often print based, installations, as well as social practice projects. Her work has been exhibited internationally including exhibitions in Italy, Israel, Germany, and across the United States. She has organized and executed multiple public and social practice projects in the U.S. and Middle East including, most recently, The Paradise Project, in the West Bank. Recent commissions include: a site specific installation for the 11th Print Biennial, Print [R]Evolution and a series commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11 for CNN.
This fall, she will unveil a site-specific installation, Bridging the Light, in the Corcoran Gallery of Art as well as an interactive installation, This is My Love Letter to You Washington, D.C. at the museum of Americas. Her work is held in private collections throughout the United States, the U.K., Israel, and Australia and was most recently acquired by the District of Columbia’s Art Bank Collection.
