Alicia Tormey graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle in 1996, and studied encaustic painting at the Pratt Fine Art Center. She has had numerous solo exhibitions and is represented by several fine art galleries including the Seattle Art Museum gallery. Her paintings have raised thousands for charities and are featured in the permanent collections of the Swedish Medical Center and other corporate and private collections throughout the Northwest. Her work focuses on the abstracted landscape and hybridized elements of nature. She currently paints fulltime in her studio near the waters of the Puget Sound.
