I am Anna (Annuk) Soghomonyan, an artist from Armenia. Studying my subconscious and the world around me, I try to uncover significant layers to create fabulous worlds that will cause a strong emotional response.

I have spent many years working out my personal and unique style of painting, experimenting with different mediums and techniques. I have worked out a very interesting way of painting based on the boosting of my imagination and my subconscious mind.

I often start my paintings in the style of abstract expressionism, trying to convey to the canvas my emotions and feelings associated with my current state or with a topic that excites me. Then my subconscious and imagination are connected, which try to recognize the figures randomly born from my paints and I begin to develop them until I get a reality similar to a fairy tale.

My characters born from my deep soul come to help me to understand myself, other people and life in general.

Every day I work in my own studio on several paintings at the same time. I like to work on canvases of different sizes; from very small to very big ones. It gives freedom to my imagination. I use oil or acrylic paints depending on the theme and idea.

I have a master's degree in Fine Arts from Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts and master’s degree in Psychology from Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences.

I have 17 years of experience in fine arts, participated in 21 group exhibitions, and have held 8 personal art shows at home and abroad.

My paintings are in private collections in more than 100 cities in America, Europe, Asia and Australia and in several public permanent collections.
