Jeanne Aurel-Schneider

Born in San Francisco, California, of French immigrant parents. Jeanne Aurel-Schneider maintains a studio in both California and southwest France. Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, she was educated at Mills College, Stanford University, and received her Master's degree from San Jose State University in 1973. Since then she has exhibited widely nationally and internationally in galleries and museums, such as the San Jose Museum of Art, Singapore Art Museum, Auckland Art Museum, Oakland Art Museum, the Grand Palais in Paris, the Musee des Beaux Arts, Gaillac, France. Her abstract work acrylic on canvas is inspired by her life's experiences, the tragic death of her brother, illnesses, joys, in other words, the highs and lows of life. Her work is to be found in public and private collections throughout the world. Her most recent solo exhibition, October, 2012 to March, 2013, is at the Oasis Gallery, in Beijing, China. She continues to work in both California and France.
