Benjamin Sack graduated Magna Cum Laud from Virginia Commonwealth University where he received his BFA in 2011. Presently, Mr. Sack is the Artist in Residence onboard the Holland-America Line ship the m/s Amsterdam on its grand circumnavigation voyage of the globe. As well as being the Artist in Residence, Mr. Sack is also a lecturer onboard as part of a series of lectures featuring among others the honorable Desmond Tutu.
Benjamin's work exists at the crossroads of cartography, architecture, cosmology and quantum mechanics. His compositions incorporate a variety of disparate perspectives and elaborate geometry to create a harmonized portrayal of "the big picture." Within his cityscapes of immense detail, references to the humanities, sciences and history are interwoven to create encyclopedic metaphors of modern life and thought.
Mr. Sack is has shown his work nationally and internationally. As well, in 2012, he received the first place prize in drawing from the Museum of Russian Art's International Art Competition. Presently, Mr. Sack is represented by the Hubert Gallery in New York CIty.
