Born in Jamestown, NY, I educated at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, Harpur College, SUNY Binghamton, coming to NYC in 1966 and completing my studio education at The Art Students League of NY. Having exhibited nationally and internationally at galleries and museums (including The Cleveland Museum, Albright-Knox Gallery, Buffalo, NY, Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati OH, Gerald Peters, Santa Fe, NM, M.B. Modern, NYC, David Findlay Jr. Fine Art, New York, NY; Elise Goodheart, Sag Harbor, NY) and in the collections (The Butler Institute of American Art, Citibank of NY, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, The Dreyfus Corporation, Kaiser-Permanente, Luther College, Decorah, IA, Northern Trust Bank, Chicago, Progressive Insurance, Reading Museum, Reading, PA), my interest remains the space between what is known and what is implied and the drama between chaos and single moment of order before it redefines.
