Cynthia Greig

Cynthia Greig is a visual artist working primarily in photography, video and installation. Her work has been shown in both solo and group exhibitions in the US and abroad, and is held in the public collections of the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, The Museum of Contemporary Photography, George Eastman Museum, Rochester, NY, Light Work, Syracuse, NY, MOCA London, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Peel Art Gallery, Museum + Archives, and Smith College Museum of Art as well as corporate and private collections. Inspired by collecting 19th and early 20th century photographs, she began researching the history of the representation of women, which led to co-authoring the book, Women in Pants: Manly Maidens, Cowgirls and Other Renegades, published by Harry N. Abrams in 2003.
