Chen Qitao is a watercolor print, oil print, Chinese ink color print artist and is a China contemporary artist. He was born in 1946 at Dalian, Liaoning Province, China. In 1986, he graduated from the Arts Department of Dalian University. In China, his art work has been exhibited, published, received awards and collected by numerous domestic and international art collectors and celebrities. Chen Qitao’s name was added to the directory of famous Chinese people in 1993 and the Biographies of The Famous Persons in The Contemporary World by the World culture-publishing house in Dec. 1994 and received the certificates at the time.
Since coming to the United States eight years ago, Chen Qitao has been inspired by American watercolor artist Andrew Wyeth. He combined Chinese art concepts with an impressionistic watercolor to create a new method to express his own unique styles. His work has been exhibited at the Beaches Branch Library in Neptune Beach, Florid and various galleries in other states. In September 2011 and January 2012, Chen Qitao’s achievements in art have featured by the Beaches Leader/Ponte Vedra Leader.
