- A self-taught artist who has taken art workshops from numerous art instructors over the last 20 years;
- Selected for participation in more than 135 national/international juried watercolor exhibitions;
- Received more than 90 awards from national/international juried watercolor exhibitions, including the Silver Award received twice from the American Watercolor Society;
- Invited participant in the Second, Third, and upcoming Fourth International Exhibitions of Contemporary International Watermedia Masters, Nanjing, China, the Shanghai Zhujiajiao International Watercolour Biennial Exhibition, Shanghai, China, and the 2014 China Qingdao International Watercolor Painting Biennial Exhibition, Qingdao, China;
- A signature member and dolphin fellow of the American Watercolor Society, and a signature member of the National Watercolor Society, the Rocky Mountain National Watercolor Society, as well as 8 other US state/regional watercolor societies;
- Selected participant and award winner in the 2015 Shenzhen International Watercolor Biennial, Shenzhen, China;
- Served as selection juror and award juror for the American Watercolor Society International Exhibition (2011, 2015), head juror for the National Watercolor Society Exhibition (2012), and selection juror for various state/regional watercolor society exhibitions;
- Has had 3 solo exhibitions, and is in numerous private and public art collections including the University of Wisconsin Hospital & Clinics, Madison, WI, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and the Qingdao Museum, Qingdao, China; and
- Has had works published in Watercolor, Watercolor Magic, the Art of Watercolour and The Artist’s magazines.
