As a northern-born southerner, my foray into the digital world emerged from my love of photography, montage, collage, painting, drawing, animation, installation, and assemblage box art. My interest in visual storytelling is another matter, which quite honestly emerges from reading the undertones of text hidden within the comforting satire connected to great myths and living historical symbols.
As a professional visual artist, I participated in over 80 exhibitions both nationally and internationally. Throughout my career, my artworks have been awarded Best of Show, 1st Place and Honorable Mention and are included in both public and private collections. Internationally my works of art have appeared in the following venues: Art in Nigeria, Lagos, Nigeria; Artist as Traveler, (King House-Boyle) Ireland; Crossing Boundaries and Frontiers: The 4th Biennale Centre Soleil d’Afrique, West Africa; the U.S. Department of Art’s Arts in Embassy Program (AIEP) Lagos, Nigeria; Florence Biennale Interazionale Dell' Arte Contemporanea, Florence, Italy; The Unrealized Project, Balchik, Bulgaria; Triennial Sofia '96: International Exhibition of Paintings, Sofia, Bulgaria; Artistas del Mundo en Tlaxacala-Mexico, Palacip de la Cultural in Mexico; Global Focus: Women in Art and Culture, The China World Trade Center, Beijing, China; and The Women's Caucus for the Arts: International Exhibition in Huairou, China.
