Born in 1970 in Portland, Oregon, I grew up just across the river in Vancouver Washington. I developed an interest in art from an early age and enrolled in art courses throughout my early school years through Highschool. I enrolled in Clark Community College in 1993 with a focus on Art. Working through nude figure drawing, and advanced drawing, I created a work that was my breakthrough. I could finally understand and breakdown form, integrate imagination, and see the world through a different perspective. Matisse was then and still is a great influence in my work.
Fast forward to 2018 I decided to make a big move into my professional development as an artist.
Since then I have been represented by the Emerging Artists Platform online, local Gallery representation, and continuing online sales through my personal and Social Medial channels, and pop-up shows. I have many works in personal collections throughout the US.
I paint everything from very large gestural abstract works to smaller representational work. I paint what I want to paint, and that’s somewhat dictated by outside influences…what grabs and shakes me. My art is powerful, unique, and its me.
