Evelyn Politzer was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, now lives and works in Miami, Florida.
Politzer is a visual artist that communicates through yarn, thread and fabric. Working with wool yarn was only natural in her native country, where the number of sheep far exceeds the number of inhabitants.
Politzer received an MFA in Visual Arts ( 2021), from Miami International University of Art and Design. She is a 2020 recipient of the Ellies Creator Award by Oolitearts.org.

The Art of Evelyn Politzer”, Spring 2022 at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden, Miami Beach, Florida; "Invisible Threads", Summer 2021, Hialeah Cultural Center, Miami Dade College, Hialeah Campus, Miami, Florida; and "Knitting as Poetry. Reflections on the Natural Environment", 2018, The Eye Has to Travel Gallery, Miami International Airport, American Airlines Terminal. Miami, Florida.
Selected 2023 group exhibitions include: “History and Nature” Pinecrest Gardens, Miami; “Installations, Materiality, and Magic Realism” Florida Biennial-2022, Art and Culture Center/Hollywood, Florida; “Subverting Materials: Fiber and Textile Art”, Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas/Kendall, Miami.
Her work is in private collections in Miami, Florida; San Francisco, California; Punta del Este, Uruguay; Buenos Aires, Argentina and San Pablo, Brazil.
