The eldest son of a Navy family, Mark Nelson’s childhood travels and longtime residence in the Panama Canal Zone continues to influence his artwork decades in the making. In 2007, the Art in Embassies Program purchased an 18 x 6 foot painting that is part of the US Embassy’s permanent collection in the Republic of Panama. https://art.state.gov/personnel/mark_nelson/
