Born in Chile, educated in England, moved to the United States in 1964. Worked in the Design field my whole life. When I retired, I was struck by the ongoing fear of Middle Eastern and North African peoples and decided to research them more closely. I found, to my astonishment, that these were the most beautiful of peoples, with eyes that went beyond the "Crystals of the Soul", and revealed a fascinating and diverse history, plus a tremendous dignity, even through the worst of hardships.
I started making portraits of them about 10 years ago, and am always delighted to find new personalities to try to capture in my art.
