Kayo Albert

Kayo Albert was born in Hyogo, Japan.
After graduating from college in Kyoto, she came to New York to study painting at Art Student League, New York Studio School and School of Visual Arts (took continuing education course for 3 years). She is actively creating and exhibiting her work in New York.

Her work is Abstract painting combined with drawing on surface called Mylar. Her use of paint rich in fluidity creates translucent layers, gives depth and complexty. Mylar also gives translucency,luminosity and airliness.
With strong interest in Carl Jung's pshycology, she takes references from nature, memories perceived and stored in unconscious, extracted in altered form.
