Past and present are present as an image in Kyria’s way as an artist, like an investigation...Like some archeology of her universe, drawings collected from the losses, wounds in the walls and in the structure of her atelier.This instable condition points to the quickness and precision of her work.
This way of observing will remain in iron structures, papers and tissues, living materials, hence nothing is stable, or eternal...In “Vestiges”( 2016) the tissue in layers, determine the dimension of the drawings, joining light and shadow in various dimensions of its being. The light ballet determines, for
unstable as it looks, new walls of new houses, like a game or words, leaving a bit behind and carrying away as much as it leaves behind.
