I was born in the Big Bend country of Texas. The sere quality of light in the desert Southwest left me with an insatiable hunger for color in my life. At the age of fifty, I began studies at Otis Parsons in Los Angeles. Mentored and encouraged by gifted teachers, I began my explorations in art expression.
My work is fueled by poststructural writings anchored in Bauhaus contexts, yet always accessible to anyone viewing it. Color is my primary strength; associations come next. The pieces are made to museum standard qualities.
I have been very fortunate to be able to show my work locally and have it collected throughout much of the world.
It would be an honor to share some of the work with the U. S. Department of State Art in Embassies program and its visitors.
