Lane Banks lives and works in Dallas, Texas. His paintings, drawings and sculptures are abstract and geometric, and conceptual in origin and practice. Utilizing a restricted palette of black, gray, white and silver, each work is governed by mathematical proportions and systems. All decisions regarding the work are determined before the physical object is made; therefore, the finished work is physical embodiment of the underlying concept.
