Christine Lashley is a contemporary impressionist painter. Her love for light is captured in her work with large brushstrokes and bold color. Christine studied in Paris at the Parsons Art Institute and the Sorbonne; and continued on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts at Washington University in St. Louis. She has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. Her work has been featured in art books and publications such as 'The Artist's Magazine' and the Washington Post. An art teacher for over 10 years, Christine currently teaches workshops and classes at The Yellow Barn Studio in Glen Echo, MD. Her award-winning work is currently shown through American Painting Gallery in Washington DC; and Broadway Gallery in Alexandria. Christine is a member of several juried art groups, including the Oil Painters of America, Baltimore Watercolor Society, the Washington Society of Landscape Painters, and the Potomac Valley Watercolorists where she served as president.
