As an an elementary student, I won an art competition and I have been creating art ever since. After earning a B.A. in Art and Education from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA, I worked as an educator in Pennsylvania for 26 years.
Upon leaving my position in Pennsylvania and a move to the Adirondacks, I continue to persue my art in the medium of pastel. The pure pigment lends itself perfectly to beautifully interpret the idea of landscape. The subtle and rich colors of the pastels evoke sensations as well as conveying a sense of place.
I have participated and won awards in many juried shows and my work is included in both public and private collections. I am a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America and the Connecticut Pastel Society as well as the Allied Artists of America.
