Born in Chicago and after living in Europe for 5 years, I grew up in the Chicago area. The history of the Midwest, including American Native heritage, the Great Lakes, the association with Abraham Lincoln influenced my concept of America.
I attended the University of Illinois where I graduated with a BFA in Sculpture. I began exhibiting in 1982 in a group show.
I moved to New York in 1992 and have worked as an artist and designer with many different companies to support myself and my son, living in New York. In addition, I have submitted proposals for public art works and exhibited art works in group shows as well during this time.
National, international and universal ideals influence my artwork. The ideals of America, such as the Declaration of Independence and Constitution have influenced some of my art works.
