The latest of her modern artwork, with its exotic imagery and bold approach to color, are influenced by her art sabbaticals to France and the many cultures and people from her travels around the world.
Layers of intaglio etchings, woodblock, Linocuts, and other printmaking techniques are combined with fine papers and Oil/Cold Wax, allowing unexpected textures and images to be exposed beneath the surface.
Each creation drawing the viewer deeper into her printmaking paintings leaving them with the feeling of having been to faraway places. Or deep into the Ocean.
Marti’s latest Series “REEF” is a personal statement of her love of sea life and one of her many series on water and the loss of reef environments around the world.
