Her two main sources of inspiration for the past 7 years have been the horizon (mostly coastal these days) and the illusion of stillness in nature.

Attempting to convey the 'poetry of vastness' within our natural surroundings, while touching on our inner aspirations, her work gently invites you to exhale and be present in the moment.

A lover of our coastline... Mechelle heads out to the water on North Beach Clearwater just after sunrise when weather and water conditions allow to paddleboard or walk the shoreline with her rescue pups Rogue & Rosie before starting her day in studio.
