Nelly Idagba Ojong

I am Nelly Idagba, an artist hailing from Nigeria, who is also a lawyer. Art has been my calling since childhood, and I've made the bold choice to pursue this passion wholeheartedly.

Using oil on canvas, I strive to capture the essence of the African woman, drawing inspiration from their resilience and untold stories. Growing up in rural Nigeria, I witnessed the silent struggles of women, stifled by societal norms that restricted their voices and expressions. It's from this backdrop of silent suffering that my artistic journey took flight.

Through my paintings, I endeavor to give voice to the unspoken, echoing the emotions and experiences of women across Africa. While my work has found homes locally and beyond, my true fulfillment lies in bridging the gap between art and advocacy, shedding light on the silent narratives of the African woman.
