Roya Honarvar has a Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) from the American University in Washington DC. She worked at the Phillips Collection museum for 6 years in different capacities, and taught at Maryland College of Art and Design in Silver Spring Maryland for 3 years. She has exhibited her work around the Washington DC area and currently is a member of the Art League and Maryland Federation for the Arts where her work has been selected for various juried shows. She has received several Jurors Choice awards for her paintings. Her work is inspired by her travels and by the global social challenges.
