Rob's Pop-Impressionism reexamines the icons of popular culture through iterative reproductions using both conventional and experimental techniques. Influenced by impressionism and minimalism, Hogan uses paint and color to isolate the icon from its cultural context, creating new images that focus on the essence of the subject matter. Through art fairs, salons, and working in a variety of open spaces, Hogan challenges the public to consider the stability of its beloved icons by reimagining them into a new cultural mythology.

Most recently, multiple pieces of Rob’s US Presidential Election political artwork have appeared in AP Images, Reuters, global news outlets and their social media surrogates including the United States Embassy Election Coverage Gallery, Yahoo News, The London Times, Bloomberg Politics, New York Post, The Atlantic, The Chicago Sun Times, San Antonio Express, Minneapolis Star-Tribune, The Economist, Ruptly TV among others.
