Linda Kamille Schmidt is originally from Kansas. She currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. Her paintings and fabric work evolve intuitively as activity and events that surround her are interpreted through past experiences, family history, and universal truths. Transparent layers provide a sense of mystery, hinting at the unknown. Shapes and lines often reside within – some clearly visible, others more obscured.
Schmidt received an MA in drawing and an MFA in painting from the University of Iowa. She currently shows with Garvey Simon in New York, NY and San Anselmo, CA.
