Born in Baltimore, MD, Sheila Lanham lives and works in Queens, New York.

The World View series consists of 73 photo montages that I made from vintage World Book encyclopedias, and includes fragmented images of landscapes from around the world: 15 of which became oil paintings, 14 became other works on paper. 2019-2022.

I started out as a poet and then gravitated towards fine art as a more tactile expression of poetry. A longstanding interest in poetic symbolism influences my work.
