I'm originally from Ukraine, USA citizen, was graduated in architecture from Kiev Art School.
Beside of architectural and engineering disciplines I took artist’s classes, got academic training in drawing, painting, sculpture, composition, photography.
I moved to USA (permanent resident, US citizen) and work in Maryland as an architectural designer for more than 15 years.
During my architectural career I was doing a lot of architectural rendering and hand sketching beside of construction documents and design.
For all these years and especially for the last five years I found myself spending more and more time in painting and making collages and lately I was very productive in creating series of pieces in mixed media collage style, of found objects, different painting medias, upcycled materials.
Three years ago I became member of Maryland Federation of Art and my artworks was selected for many exhibits in Annapolis and sold for private clients.
My artist’s statement is about improvising with interesting texture, colors, written messages or random texts in found objects all around in every day’s routine.
Some old weathered piece of material may help even choose subject of my new art piece, it often coming spontaneously, I start making preliminary layout without even knowing close the final result. My best works came all out of improvisation, while suddenly some set of different patterns, painting, background blending perfectly together and people can recognize own multiple meanings in the same composition.
