Sofia Zubi is an artist and author currently living and working between New York and New Jersey. She was born in 1993 in Newport Beach, CA and studied at both Art Center College of Design and Pratt Institute with a BFA in Painting and Art History.
The artist's work is both personal and symbolic, inspired by actual experiences and dreams. She creates her own magical dreamland where the characters are tested through love, power, and decisions. The Princess is a central figure within her work used as a metaphor of innocence and vulnerability. The characters are engaged in an endless circular conflict, constantly swaying between power and powerlessness, and love and deceit. Sofia's work mirrors human perseverance, as the Princess understands life’s harmful disguises as well as its mystical beauty.
